Are you curious what a newborn session gallery might look like? I don’t often blog full sessions, but thought it might be helpful to give an idea of the variety you may see in your newborn session photos. Usually for newborn photos, we can select 2-3 spaces in your home that feel comfortable for you and your family. This is often the living room, nursery, master bedroom or family room. Selecting a few spots allows us to create different styles of photos with different poses and backgrounds. If we are fortunate enough to get a dry day in Seattle instead of our standard grey rainy skies, we can also pop out into your yard for a few photos to add variety or capture the amazing fall colors from your favorite tree. The family in this session was celebrating the birth of their first son and he was such a sweet cuddle bug during their session. Newborn sessions usually last 1.5 to 2 hours to allow time for feeding and diaper changes as needed. With the extra time allotment along with being in your own space, they typically feel relaxed and comfortable.
